Former national president of the BJP, Rajnath Singh, on Saturday admitted that B S Yeddyuaprappa’s exit from the party will have some “impact.”

Singh said: “It will affect us a little, but we will be able to compensate for the loss...the BJP is a big enough party to withstand the loss.”

Singh also said party president Nitin Gadkari may get a second term despite graft charges against him. “There may be some differences among party leaders on the issue but it does not mean that we are against each other.”

Singh also said Kalyan Singh may come back to the BJP in the next fortnight. “Consider him (Kalyan) to be a member of the BJP. Kalyan Singh’s entry will strengthen the party as he is a leader with a mass base,” Singh said.
