<p>Stephen’s hat-trick and a brace by Amoes powered South United to a thumping 7-0 win over Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) in the BDFA Super Division League at the Bangalore Football Stadium here on Thursday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The victory, the biggest so far this season, also helped new entrants South United climb to third in the league table with seven points from four matches. <br /><br />Stephen (33rd, 51st, 80th), Amoes (12th, 22nd), G Vignesh (1st) and Sunil Kumar (26th) were the scorers for South United.<br /><br />Meanwhile, promoted outfit DYSS’s tale of woes continued with their fourth successive defeat. <br /><br />Vignesh opened the scoring for South United in the very first minute and it was a sign of things to come. The midfielder’s powerful shot from the edge of the area gave little chance to DYSS goalkeeper Sunil Kumar.<br /><br />Stephen and Amoes combined to double the lead for South United in the 12th minute. Amoes collected a fine through ball from Stephen and easily beat Sunil to slot the ball into the right corner.<br /><br />The duo did an encore in the 22nd minute. Amoes was fed again by Stephen and he cut into the area and outwitted Sunil.<br /><br />The misery continued for DYSS in the second half. Stephen volleyed home in the 51st minute and the striker completed his hat-trick and South United’s tally in the 80th minute.<br />Earlier, Pradeep’s late strike (77th) helped CIL pip LRDE 1-0 in the A Division.<br /></p>
