<p>Members of Democratic Youth Federation of India staged a protest in Bangarpet on Friday demanding immediate asphaltation of Sulikunte-Mageri Road. <br /><br /></p>.<p>There are many villages on either sides of the sulikunte-Mageri stretch and people from these places travel to Kolar almost everyday. But the stretch has been completely worn out as a result, frequency of bus services has dwindled over tehe years. <br /><br />Potholes and crater dot the stretch and riding on this road is a hell, complained the protesters. <br /><br />As a result, to reach Kolar, people have to travel to Bangarpet, which is actually a detour. “This requires more time and money,” rued the protesters. <br /><br />Though foundation stones have been laid earlier to repair the road nothing much has been done in this regard, the protesters complained. <br /><br />They submitted a memorandum in this regard to Zilla Panchayat Technical Division chief engineer Ramakrishnappa. <br /></p>
