Continuing the Arts Appreciation Series, this time in Indian dance, are two authorities in the field. Renowned choreographer-aesthete Usha Venkateswaran will introduce the basic content and concept of choreography and what it means in the context of Indian dance.
With her vast practical experiences, she will explain what choreography implies in the context of traditional Indian dances and how it can be used to enhance the art form. Critic and dance historian Ashish Mohan Khokar will highlight through films, various specimens of choreography in Indian dance and showcase two icons — Ram Gopal and Uday Shankar and their works.

The films will help in the understanding of practical dance patterns and stage sense to create artistic works.
