Punjab unit of Shiv Sena today asked parents to monitor their wards, particularly girls on Valentine's Day tomorrow, to keep the latter from "going astray".

"Young girls get trapped in  difficult situations as the so-called expression of love on Valentine Day ends up in horrendous crimes like rapes," Sena's state Vice president Inderjit Karwal claimed.

Karwal warned that no youth will be allowed to indulge in vulgarity in the garb of alleged expression of love, adding that hotels and restaurants should not allow their premises to be used for any vulgar activities.

"Sena has no personal grudge against anybody. But in case of any vulgarity, proprietors will themselves be responsible for any damage to or loss of their property," he warned.

Sena also demanded more deployment of police at public places tomorrow so that no miscreant can indulge in eve-teasing.

Sena's City and Urban Blocks Presidents Kuldip Dani, Charanjit Pehalwan, Youth wing Incharge Gurdial Saini jointly presided over the meeting.
