After the success of Krantiveera Sangoli Rayanna, everyone was awaiting ‘Challenging Star’ Darshan’s next venture. Now, the actor is all ready to team up with the same makers, who had given him one of his biggests hits – Gaja.

Titled Brindavan, the movie is being produced by Suresh Gowda and Srinivasmurthy, under the ‘Sri Seethabhaireshwari’ banner. The film is a remake of Telugu hit Brindavanam, which had Junior NTR in the lead.

The film was launched on Darshan’s birthday and it was like a gift for the actor. This being his third film with the production house, the actor says, “This banner gave me a great opening at the box office. And I am sure even this film will do well. It’s an entertainer, which will cater to the masses and the class audience.”

The director of the film, K Madhesh, says that working with this production house is like homecoming. “It is this banner that gave me the film Gaja that ran for 100 days. I am very excited to do this project with Darshan again. Though it is a remake, we are going to tweak it according to Kannada tastes,” says Madhesh.

The director goes on to reveal that Darshan will be seen in a different role. “We have always seen him as an action hero but in this movie, he will be playing a role of a lover boy,” says Madhesh, who will start shooting from February 26.
This is the fifth production of Suresh Gowda and Srinivasmurthy. And Srinivasmurthy firmly believes that the cinema should do the talking.

Apart from actress Muktha, Karthika Nair, the daughter of former actress Radha, will also be making her debut in Kannada films. “I see this film as a really good launch pad for me for my entry into Kannada movies. I am sure shooting for it will be loads of fun,” says Karthika, who will be playing the role of a girl-next-door.

V Harikrishna will be scoring the music for the film. He states that he will be composing original tunes and will not be retaining anything from the original film. Sampath Kumar, Sai Kumar, Geetha, Doddanna, Sharat Babu, Pavithra Lokesh, Sadhu Kokila and many others are part of the cast. K V Raju has penned the dialogues, K M Prakash is the editor, Ravi Verma has choreographed the stunts, Nagendra Prasad and Kaviraj have written the lyrics and Ramesh Babu is cameraman.
