Child tells her mother about being repeatedly abused

 In a shocking incident, a 31-year-old man allegedly assaulted his five-year-old daughter in central Delhi’s Patel Nagar over the past one month, police said.

The incident came to light after the victim started suffering from tremendous pain about which her mother enquired last week.

The victim then told her mother that her father was sexually assaulting her for last month

The shocked mother also discovered that her husband Rakesh, who runs a small-time thread-making unit at home, has also assaulted his younger brother’s wife also.
When she quizzed her about this, she too complained against Rakesh.

She took her daughter to her parents’ house at Subzi Mandi and on Tuesday, she approached Subzi Mandi police station where the official told her to report the matter at Patel Nagar police station.

“On Tuesday evening, they came to the police station and on victim’s statement, a case of rape and under relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 has been registered,” said the police officer.

The victim was unable to understand what her father was putting her through.
It was only when she complained of acute pain that her mother got to know of her ordeal, police said.

The officer said as soon as Rakesh came to know that his wife had approached police along with their daughter, he went into hiding.

“We are conducting raids at various places but he has been untraceable so far. However, we got some lead on Wednesday evening and are hopeful of nabbing him shortly,” said the officer. 

The officer also said that his younger brother's wife did not approach them so far.
