Gurgaon district authorities on Thursday sealed all farmhouses in village Roz Ka Gujjar, including that of Bollywood playback singer Mika Singh, which were allegedly illegally running small tourism units and other commercial activities.

The borewells installed there were also demolished and electricity connection disconnected, said a Haryana government release. It said that as per orders of Gurgaon deputy commissioner P C Meena, a team of local officers, with the help of police, inspected the farmhouses. On finding commercial activities running there, they sealed the farm houses.

Groups of tourists could be seen in one of those premises, the release said.

A few days ago, Meena, along with a team of officials, undertook a field visit of village Roz Ka Gujjar in Sohna tehsil area.

The National Green Tribunal had objected to alleged commercial activities in village Roz Ka Gujjar, of which about 75 per cent area falls under forest area. Following directions to get these activities stopped, Meena had constituted a team of local officers to carry out the exercise after inspecting the area, the release said.

In the light of tourism activities going on in the area, which is a non-forestry activity, notices were issued and the owners were asked to stop commercial activities.

If commercial activities are again taken up, further action like registering of FIR and other penal proceedings as per the order of deputy commissioner will be taken up against violators, the release added.
