It is aimed at empowering students with apt preparation for the entrance test, which is the gateway for the students to pursue professional courses such as BE, MBBS, BDS and B Arch in the State.
At a function here, Higher Education Minister Aravind Limbavali, said, “The free CET coaching for rural students will begin from October 30 across the State rendering expert coaching from studios set up in Bangalore, Mangalore and Hubli. The students will have to come to the training centers to attend the sessions that will be telecast from these studios.”
The satellite-based coaching will also answer the doubts raised by students which will also be telecast to all the centers at the same time. As many as 60 students will be accomodated in each classroom.
The coaching implemented in collaboration with the Keonics, will also provide free study material to the student participants in the training. Periodic tests in the subjects and their evaluation will also be conducted to increase the students’ competitive capabilities. Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, who inaugurated the coaching for rural students at Pre-university Block in VHD Home Science College on the occasion announced a grant of Rs one crore for construction of an auditorium in the college premises.
