Speaking to reporters, he said the amount is the first installment of Rs 1,000 crore aid announced by the Prime Minister under the National Calamity Relief Fund. The second installment will be released shortly, he added.
The CM further said people are generously contributing for the rehabilitation work. But such an atmosphere should not be spoiled. There is a need to work as a team towards rehabilitating people who are affected by the recent floods.
