It was said that at a press conference recently Narayanaswamy had demanded that Minister for Primary Education Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri should submit his resignation owning moral responsibility for ‘his failure in addressing the primary and high school teachers’ issues.’
On Sunday, in their statement, the officials said that they had been to submit details regarding the department when the MLC was holding a press conference during which he allegedly commented about Kageri.
They said the MLC had sought details on staff, students’ strength and classroom numbers in various schools across the taluk. They had been there to submit these details when Narayanaswamy was at the press conference.
