Falah fetes ministers, MLAs, corporators

Jam’iyyatul Falah felicitated the newly-elected MLAs and Corporators over the recent win at Jam’iyyatul Falah Community Centre in Kankanady on Friday.

Accepting the felicitation, Minister for Forest and Ecology Ramanath Rai said that he has been elected six times only because of the love and trust, people have kept on him.
"There are many who have used religion for politics. However, this strategy has failed badly. People select a leader, only when they are happy with his work," he said.

"There are around 15,000 people who belong to my community in Bantwal. My opponent too belongs from the same community. However, I have got more than 80,000 votes. This is a clear indication that I have been elected by people from other religion, caste and communities. I am happy that I have won, by gaining the trust of my people,” he said.

"There is a need to develop communal harmony in the society. All people are equal and a elected leader's priority should be his people," he said.

MLA J R Lobo, humbly accepted his felicitation. "After 20 years, people have brought Congress to power, in Mangalore South constituency. People have a lot of hopes on me, and I shall keep it up," he assured and requested people, to be punctual and start programmes on time. "Lost time never comes back. We should make the best use of time," he stressed.

MLA Mohiudeen Bava assured that he will work for his people 24X7. “Unity and Cooperation is all that I seek,” he said.

Vartha Bharathi Editor-in-chief Abdul Salam Puthige delivered the felicitation address. "Leadership and popularity is not permanent. A leader is always in the scrutiny of people. He should maintain his credibility. He should not be biased and should keep up the promises, he has made," he said.
