Garbage not cleared

The residents of First Cross in Muniyappa Layout of Murgeshpalya are grappling with piles of uncleared garbage. Several complaints to the BBMP seeking to clear garbage on a daily basis have not elicited any response. The Palike workers who come to clear the garbage burn it there itself causing air pollution and respiratory problems for the residents

File goes missing in BWSSB

After being given an acknowledgment by the BWSSB for application seeking new water connection at ITI, Doorvaninagar, officials have now misplaced the file. Neither the plumbing contractor nor the officials from the BWSSB have contacted this applicant so far.
When contacted over phone, the official says the file is missing. Who is responsible for this apathy? BWSSB has given new water connection in the area three months ago but water supply has not been streamlined yet.

Ply buses between Jayanagar, Chamarajpet

People from Banashankari, Jayanagar sixth, seventh and eighth blocks are finding it difficult to travel to Nettakallappa Circle, Gandhi Bazaar, Ramakrishna Ashram and Chamarajpet since there are no buses on this route.

Previously, route numbers 11 and 14 used to ply from Banashankari to K R Market and Malleswaram, respectively. But they were discontinued.

It is requested that these routes be restored. Route No 11 can ply via South End Circle, Nettakallappa Circle, Gandhi Bazaar, Ramakrishna Ashram, Chamarajpet to K R Market.

Similarly, buses on route No 14 can go through South End Circle, Nettakallappa Circle, Gandhi Bazar, Ramakrishna Ashram, Chamarajpet, Mysore Circle, City Railway Station to Malleswaram or even up to Yeshwantpur TTMC. Both these routes are sure to fetch good revenue to the BMTC.

Site turned into dumping yard

The vacant HAL property next to Gururaja Layout, Doddanekkundi is being used as dumping ground for all debris and garbage as well as an open toilet. Earlier the debris was dumped on the mud road joining Doddanekkundi Main Road to Gururaja Layout. But, now the tractors have started going deep into the property to dump debris.
Calls to the HAL estate manager met with assurances that the matter will be looked into. But there has been no change in situation. Will the authorities concerned  look into the matter and erect a compound wall around their property?

Provide 3-digit helpline for autos

Auto drivers in the City are an arrogant lot these days and harass commuters, especially women, a great deal. The eight-digit helpline numbers to register complaints is not easy to remember. I request the Bangalore City Police to provide a three-digit number to register such complaints, like in the case of Police, Fire and Ambulance. The number should be painted mandatorily inside and outside the autos in bold fonts to enable people to register complaints against errant auto drivers.

Raja Kaluve clogged

The Raja Kaluve, which carries sewage water from Kammanahalli and other areas, has been blocked partially in Vaddarapalaya.

People dump garbage and debris into the Raja Kaluve, thus clogging it. The blocked Raja Kaluve poses a serious risk of flooding during monsoon.

Several complaints to the local corporator and officials concerned have yielded no result. The matter needs urgent attention of the authorities. Will the officials concerned look into the matter at the earliest and take steps to desilt the Kaluve?

There has been leakage for many months now in the main water pipeline opposite St Alphonsus High School on Davis Road in Frazer Town. BWSSB staff operate valves adjacent to the leakage spot, but never bother to plug the leakage. Authorities concerned should immediately look into the issue.

Garbage pile-up leading to stray dog menace

The ever increasing garbage pile up at 4th Main, 6th Cross junction of New Thippasandra, HAL III Stage, has brought numerous woes to residents in the locality. Apart from encroaching and spilling over on to the road, te uncleared garbage has been obstructing vehicular movement.

The stench emanating from the filth fills up the air making life miserable for the residents and those using this stretch. The pay-and-use toilet situated nearby compounds the misery. The place has turned into a breeding ground for mosquitoes, thus rising the risk of vector-borne diseases. The garbage pile lies outside the compound wall of Sir MVishweshwaraiah Park. The footpath around the park laid recently has become unusable.

A pack of stray dogs found near the garbage pile threaten morning walkers, senior citizens, children and women. Dogs keep barking throughout the night. Even cows and crows hover around this place and the rain has aggravated the problem. Will the authorities concerned look into the grievances of the residents at the earliest?

Leaking water supply pipeline

The underground water pipeline is leaking right in the middle of the road, a few yards from the Vani Vilas Road-Shankar Mutt Road traffic junction in VV Puram. I have personally requested the staff of the BWSSB service station at the National College Circle to attend to the leak, but to no avail. The BWSSB officials must do the needful at the earliest.

Buses to TC Palya, Shanthi Layout

The frequency of City buses from TC Palya and Shanthi Layout (300 P, 301E and 301F) towards Indian Express/Shivajinagar needs to be increased during peak hours. The services are irregular and no buses ply from 8.30 am to 9 towards Indian Express. Many officegoers and students travel in these buses during peak hours and  the frequency shouldbe increased.
