Mrs Bangalore’, a platform for married women to showcase their skills, will soon start its audition process. An event organised in a city hotel recently showcased the concept as well as some of the participants of the competition.

The competition will be judged by Jayalakshmi, of ‘Bigg Boss’ fame; Veena Bhat, former ‘Mrs Bangalore’ and Pramila C, the business head of Deepam Silks.

The registration process for the title is going on and it has received a very good response from the women in Bangalore. Irfan Manna, one of the partners of The Buzz Network, says that Bangalore does not have many events for people in their thirties.

“This is a very different event and a lot of woman are eager to participate. This is the first time that we are doing anything of this sort and we hope to take it to a bigger pedestal in the coming years. The winner of the title will be given an opportunity to act in a Kannada movie,” he explains.

Participants of the title say that this opportunity has added wings to their dreams and they feel that marriage is not the end of life. Deepthi Ashok, Shweta Vikas and Diya Khoday, who are some of the participants, are excited to be a part of the event.

“It is a platform to explore our talents and discover our hidden potential. I am looking forward to being a part of the contest as I will get exposure and learn a lot. It also goes to show that marriage is not the end of the road and we can fulfill our goals and dreams even after marriage. I have been married for six years and my husband has supported me in every way possible. Married women can give tough competition to anyone,” quips Diya.

Deepthi, another participant, is also a marathon winner. She is all set to fulfill her goals and says that her dream of being a part of the glamour world will finally come true.

“I was always interested in modelling and am really happy that I am getting a chance to be a part of this contest. My family and my husband have been very supportive and have encouraged me to take up what I want. It is a great feeling. It shows that having a kid and being married does not stop you from doing what you want,” she notes.
