Med, dental students to get 276 more seats

Students aspiring for medical and dental courses have the benefit of an additional 276 seats for the second round of counselling as the government added more seats for these courses on Thursday.

In medical alone, 223 additional seats have been added and 53 new seats have been included in dental courses. The new seats included are in ESI Medical College, Bangalore (40), ESI Medical College, Gulbarga (40), MV Medical College, Bangalore (12), Vydehì Medical College, Bangalore (25), Al-Ameen Medical College, Bijapur (12), JSS Medical College, Mysore (12) and Tadìkela Subbaiah Medical College, Shimoga (82).

In the dental course, the 53 new seats are in V S Dental College, Bangalore (14), Rajiv Gandhi Dental College, Bangalore (14) and Srinivasa Dental College, Mangalore (25).
All these seats are available for students to take note of on the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) official website www.kea.kar.nic.in. The option entry for second round of counselling has begun from Wednesday night. As on Thursday night, as many as 5.97 lakh options were entered by 21,940 students. Of these, 4,193 candidates entered options for medical, 18,565 for engineering, 327 for architecture and 6,056 for agriculture courses.

The option entry for the second round of counselling of seats for professional courses in colleges across the State is available up to 10.30 am on July 22. The KEA will publish the second round of allotment list after 8 pm on July 23.
