Inbound M&A biz swells to $27.6 b

India inbound M&A volume reached US$27.6 billion  year-to-date.  The top five acquirer nations include the UK, which accounted for 57 per cent of inbound M&A, followed by the US (22 per cent), Germany (5 per cent), Japan and France (4 per cent).

Acquirors from UK have invested a total of US$15.6 billion in Indian companies across all sectors so far this year, much more than US$526 million worth of deals announced in 2010 year-to-date.
