Meet to create awareness on 'Jehad' in City on Nov 12

 
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Kodijal said that the phrase ‘Love Jehad’ had been coined only with the intention of defaming Islam and to create communal disharmony between Hindus and Muslims. The awareness convention would discuss the actual significance of Jehad in Islam, he said, adding that Mangalore Assistant khazi Thokha Ahmed Musliyar would inaugurate the programme at 4 pm.

Udupi district khazi Bekal Ibrahim Musliyar would perform ‘dua’ (prayer) while IGP (Western Range) Gopal B Hosur and District Wakf Committee President Y Mohammed Kunhi would be the guests. MCC President K S Mohammed Masood would preside while Mangalore University English lecturer Pattabhirama Somayaji and Sudha Assistant Editor B M Haneef would deliver the keynote address, Kodijal said.
