Chief Health Officer, BBMP, Dr L T Gayathri said, “We gave a recruitment advertisement for 15 vacancies last month. We have asked for doctors with PG qualification. However, additional three more vacancies have cropped up.”
The department has also approached the Karnataka Public Service Commission as the recruitment will be through them, she added. However, sources in BBMP said that the need was for 30 to 40 doctors considering the doctor-patient ratio in each of the hospitals.
