Far from the City, the students of Apeejay School of Management and Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication recently indulged in some fun activities to mark the celebration of their annual inter-college festival ‘Synergy 2013’.

The management and cultural fest is the institute’s everlasting endeavour to inculcate world-class competencies and provide a platform to students to explore and showcase their talent. 

Open to all colleges in the City, the fest invited a lot of participation in various categories. The program commenced on an auspicious note with lamp lighting by Dr Alok Saklani, director, Apeejay School of Management along with Ashok Ogra, director of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication and Dr Etinder Pal Singh, convener of the event.

The key attractions of the event remained the various sports like Tug of war, Shot Put, Slow biking and 3 leg race, to name a few. These were followed by various management games like Ad-mad Show and Lan Gaming. The cultural and talent rounds included events like Photography, Dancing and Singing, Street Play, Treasure Hunt, Rangoli, Fashion Show and Mr & Ms Synergy Contest. Students from more than fifteen institutes including Keshav Mahavidhyalaya, Dyal Singh, Maitreyi, Lal Bhadur Shastri Institute of Management, IITM and various other institutes participated.

This festival provided students a platform to express their opinions, interact with other young minds and exchange ideas through a series of thought provoking and stimulating activities. Students showcased their creativity in designing rangoli and clicking photographs. Running from one competition to another, they enjoyed the various cuisines at food stalls. 

The Group Dance competition in the evening was a major crowd puller and showcased few interesting performances. These compelled the audience members to also shake a leg at their respective seats.   

Udit Bhagchandani and Prerna Srivastava from Apeejay, Dwarka bagged the titles of Mr & Ms Synergy 2013-14 and Aditya Pratap and Lasna Sharma were adjudged as Mr & Ms Personality respectively. 

Rajinder Kachroo, who is well known in the field of devotional and Sufi music was the chief guest for the festival. He congratulated all the winners and motivated the students to pursue their interests. 

The students worked enthusiastically for the fest and thereby learned the art of time management, planning and teamwork. This also stimulated confidence and leadership skills among them.
