Around 350 companies, foreign and Indian, along with 20,000 employees, have come together under Indo-German Partnership initiative, to solve water problem in India.
The project will adopt innovative German technologies to treat sewage water and make it potable for various purposes.
German Water Partnership Head – India, Michael Kuhn, quoting a Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) report, said that over 40 to 50 per cent water is wasted in the City due to leakages and fresh water being used for irrigational purposes. The projects seek to involve the partnering companies in various water management projects.
