'Birse' released

Mangalore-based Deepa Enterprises has brought out the VCD. ‘Birse’ has won the State award in the regional languages category for the year 2007-08.

Srinivas Kaushik has directed this production of M V Lokesh. Tulu theatre artiste Naveen D Padil and Sahanashri are in the lead roles.  Speaking on the occasion, Padil said Tulu movies need to achieve more efficiency in their technical aspects. “People begin with all enthusiasm for a Tulu movie, but they do not continue the vigour till the end, which is the main cause for their failure in the market,” he observed. Theatre personality V G Pal, artiste Thamma Lakshman and Deepa Enterprises proprietor Vadiraj were present.
