Victim Manoj Kumar Sharma, 25, worked as a technician with Indigo airlines at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Police said, the victim’s body bore multiple stab injuries.
The incident came to light around 10 pm on Wednesday when Manoj was on his way back home on a motorcycle.

Eyewitnesses told police that while on his way back, Manoj saw a woman was being molested by two persons. He stopped and tried to save the woman from the clutches of the miscreants, they added.

When Manoj objected, the assailants started a fight with him.

Police reached the spot and rushed him to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in west Delhi, where doctors declared him brought dead. He was stabbed in the abdomen.

“He received grievous injuries in abdomen and one of his stab wounds was on his chest,” said a police officer.

A case of murder was registered with the Palam police station. A team has been launched to nab the culprits, police said.

The victim stayed with his family at Sadh Nagar in Palam Colony. Manoj is survived by his 72-year-old father Hazarilal Sharma, wife and an 11-year-old son.
