excited Chetan at the launch.

The team of Suryakaanti launched the music album of the movie at a popular radio station recently, where the listeners got to hear all the songs for the first time. The movie will be out in the theatres sometime mid-December.

After the super success of Aa Dinagalu, the hit director-actor duo Chaitanya and Chetan are back again with another movie for their fans. Suryakaanti has all the ingredients of a commercial movie. "It has action, romance, comedy and songs shot in exotic locations," said director Chaitanya, adding to which he said, "We filmed for 65 days and shot extensively in Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Belgaum, Bangalore and also in the snow-capped mountains of Chemgan."

The entire crew of Aa Dinagalu has been retained for this movie and speaking about them, Chaitanya said, “It was much easier to work with a crew you are familiar with. We were very comfortable working together as a team.” He said that this is actress Regina’s first movie as a heroine.

“Three years ago, she had acted in a Tamil film but that can’t be considered as her first full-fledged movie as the lead heroine.” He also said that since she is still a student and her mother doesn’t want her to miss her studies, she hasn’t been seen in any other movie after that one.

The whole look of the movie has been thought about with great detail. Two designers were roped in to style Chetan, Regina and the other actors in the movie. “We wanted a completely different look for the actors in the movie.

The hairstyle I suggested for Chetan looked bad so we decided to get professional stylists. We have also launched our website,” revealed Chaitanya. They wanted the movie to look very glamourous so Chetan’s look has been altered throughout the movie, according to the change his character goes through.

When asked about the change in the spelling of the movie name, Chaitanya responded saying, “We wanted a website for our movie and the domain name we got was Suryakaanti. So to maintain uniformity, we changed the spelling. There is no numerology behind it.”

The music has been composed by Ilayaraja, who was also the music director for Aa Dinagalu. “Edeya baagilu is my personal favourite, it is a slow romantic number. Every song is shot very well and in scenic locations,” said Chetan.
