HC direction to BU

Hearing a writ appeal by Hemananda and others, the division bench Comprising Chief Justice P D Dinakaran and Anand Byra Reddy directed the University  to allow failed students studying in law course to take up supplementary exams immediately to clear the failed subjects.

The students had challenged the University decision not to allow failed candidates to take supplementary exams during the immediate supplementary exams. They were allowed to do so only after eleven months.

On the students request to allow the carry over system, the court observed that it would not touch the matter as it was fixed by the Bar Council of  India.
