<p>The mortal remains of renowned Carnatic vocalist R K Srikantan were cremated with full state honours on Thursday at T R Mill crematorium, Chamarajpet. Three rounds of fire were opened as a mark of respect to the departed musician.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Srikantan’s body was kept at the Samsa Open Air Theatre at Ravindra Kalakshetra for public to pay their last respects, for two hours prior to the cremation. Apart from his family, a host of dignitaries including Kannada and Culture Minister Umashree, ISRO Chairman Prof K Radhakrishnan, musicians and artistes were present.</p>
