The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike will construct 10 replicas of the historic Kempe Gowda towers across the City. The towers will come up on Mysore Road, Tumkur Road, Magadi Road, Kanakapura Road, Bannerghatta Road, Hosur Road, Old Madras Road, Bellary Road, Sarjapur Road and Doddaballapur Road.
Mayor B Satyanarayana, who laid the foundation stone for the tower on Mysore Road, said four companies – Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises, Prestige, Sobha Developers and Sanders Properties Private Limited will join hands with the BBMP for the project. According to sources in the Palike, each tower would cost about Rs 90 lakh, and the project is being implemented under “Namma Bengaluru, Namma Koduge” programme.
