PES College of Pharmacy organised a two-day national-level cultural carnival, ‘Aspiration 2014’, at PES University recently.

S Mohan, principal and director of PES College of Pharmacy, welcomed the chief guest.

Violinist V Nalina Mohan, who was the guest of honour; Kannada poet BR Lakshman Rao and PES University chancellor MR Doreswamy presided over the function.

Saranga Pani, VC, R&D, Sami Labs; and Ashwini, corporate head, The British Biologicals felicitated the academic achievers with ‘Fathima Bheevi Gold Medal’ and cash prizes respectively.

Doreswamy asked the students to make the most out of their college life.

He said energy, enthusiasm and knowledge should be properly channelised to develop the necessary skills required by the industries and to get accepted by them.

He added that the national-level industry-academy interaction being organised by PES College of Pharmacy on May 3 is crucial as it helps the pharmacy students to keep abreast of the latest developments in industries and be accepted by them.

V Nalina Mohan emphasised the importance of  culture by stating that the growth of an individual can be holistic and complete only with the incorporation of culture.

BR Lakshman Rao recited many humorous poems on the occasion.
