District Congress president J Alexander, MLAs Roshan Baig, Prasanna Kumar, N L Narendra Babu, former MLA Chandrashekhar, former mayor Huchchappa and others were present in the meeting. The leaders felt that the proposed fee structure for Sakrama was not people-friendly. The party should raise voice against the scheme in the legislature session scheduled to begin on December 14, they said.
The leaders have been asked to prepare the ground for the polls and identify able candidates in each ward. They felt the party should oppose if the State Government tried to delay BBMP elections further.
