A 22-year-old woman has alleged that two men repeatedly raped her on the pretext of providing a job. A case was registered with Chanakyapuri police station on Thursday, but the accused are yet to be arrested.

In her complaint, the woman told police that she had known both the accused—55-year-old Panchal and his friend Monil—for a year. They are all residents of Hindon Vihar in Ghaziabad.

The victim says she was looking for a job after her father’s death, and Panchal had told her he was a businessman running a factory in Delhi. He then fixed her a meeting with Monil.

She has alleged that the men claimed to have fixed an interview in the capital and asked her to accompany them on April 25 in a Mahindra XUV.

“The woman claims she was offered a cold drink laced with sedatives when she went with them,” said a police officer. She lost consciousness, after which Panchal and Monil allegedly took turns to rape her. She woke up in the car in the parking lot of Ashoka Hotel in south Delhi’s Chanakyapuri.

“They promised to find a job for her as soon as possible, and also offered Rs 20,000 per month just to keep her silent,” added the officer. She claims she was again raped near Kashmere Gate ISBT on June 3, and several times between the dates near Hindon Vihar.

The woman was also threatened with dire consequence if she informed members of her family about the incident or approached the police.

However, she narrated her ordeal to her mother, after which her statement was recorded with Chanakyapuri police station. A case was registered on Thursday, but she refused to undergo medical examination.
