Dastkar returns to Bangalore with the tenth edition of the ‘Nature Bazaar’. The event will be held at the Manpho Convention Grounds.

Bringing together more than a 100 craft groups, small producers and designers from 20 states across India, the ‘Bangalore Nature Bazaar’ will offer a wide range of hand-crafted lifestyle accessories, striking jewellery and adornments, herbal beauty products, Dhokra metal crafts, intricately carved wooden furniture, pottery and ceramics, basketry and fibre crafts, leather products, traditional paintings, an array of hand-woven, embroidered, printed and painted textiles, and much more!

Visitors can relish a delicious variety of food and beverages at the food court too. Folk cultural performances will be presented by the talented Manganiyar musicians from Rajasthan and the Natyagriha dance group from Kerala at the event too.

The workshops in pottery, beadwork and Kalamkari painting will make the event an enjoyable experience for the whole family.

Dastkar works with over 350 craft groups across 22 Indian states and strongly believes in crafts as catalytic tool for social and economic empowerment and earning. Dastkar bazaars and exhibitions provide craftspeople great exposure.

There is also a direct interaction with urban consumers, enabling them to gauge market trends and customer demands for themselves.

‘Dastkar Nature Bazaar 2014’ will be held at Manpho Convention Grounds, No 90, Veerannapalya, Nagawara Ring Road, Opposite BEL Corporate office. The event will be held between August 8 and 17 from 11 am to 8 pm. The entry fee is Rs 30.
