<p>A 27-year-old woman has alleged that the CEO of her company misbehaved with her in an elevator of a restaurant in HSR Layout on July 30.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The victim, lodged a complaint with HSR Layout Police stating, she, along with Janardhan Gupta, 40, had been to a restaurant for lunch. <br /><br />While in the elevator, Gupta tried to kiss her and touch her inappropriately, police said. The victim had approached the company’s human resources department but no action was taken. <br /><br />The victim informed the police Gupta had passed lewd comments earlier. Gupta has been booked under IPC Section 354(a) (sexual harassment) and Section 202 (concealing evidence), police said. <br /><br />Principal held <br /><br />A principal of a private school was arrested by Hanumanth Nagar police for allegedly beating up a student recently.<br /><br />The 12-year-old boy was beaten up by the principal for quarrelling with another student on the school premises. <br /><br />The incident came to light when the boy returned home and complained of severe body pain. When the parents checked, they found bruises and approached the Child Welfare Committee.<br /><br />A committee member said initially the parents were hesitant to register a case fearing their son’s future. After counselling the parents, the committee referred the case to police, who took action. <br /><br />The principal Jagannath has been booked under Right to Education under Corporal Punishment and Section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt).<br /><br />Teacher arrested <br /><br />In another case, Peenya police arrested a teacher of a private school in Nelagadaranahalli on Monday for allegedly thrashing a student of class VII. <br /><br />Police said the teacher Venkatesh thrashed up a student when she misspelt an English word. The incident came to light when the parents noticed the girl’s hand and legs were swollen. Following a complaint by the parents, the teacher was arrested.<br /><br /></p>
