Eleven students sustained injuries as the school van they were travelling in turned turtle near Anunahalli Gate, in the taluk, on Thursday.
The injured students of Na Bhadraiah School at Bellale village have been identified as Bhoomika, Janani, Srujan, Prabhu, Kiran, Likith Gowda, Shreyas, Chandushree, Karthik, Nitya and Ganesh Gowda.
The school van, which had picked up students from neighbouring villages, turned turtle as the driver tried to avoid hitting a motorbike that suddenly overtook the van.
Residents of Anunahalli and parents rushed to the spot and rescued the children. While some children were treated at the Taluk Government Hospital, some of them were shifted to the K R Hospital in Mysore.
