District Congress SC/ST Cell Vice-President L T Hemanna has alleged that the officials concerned are not bothered to take any action in this regard and due to their attitude, the water in the reservoir is being wasted. Hemanna addressing reporters on Monday informed that if this situation continues the reservoir will be damaged and during dry season, people will surely have to face water shortage. Assistant Executive Engineer Prashanth said that the flow of water into right canal has stopped. The water flowing at present is the spill over of the river water, which has been released on request of Fisheries Department, which is cultivating fingerling.
At present 71 tmc of water is available in Bhadra reservoir and people need not be scared of the leakage.
