Model making course
Design Resources is conducting a part-time, two-week training programme on project and model construction till January 5, 2010. Distance education scholarships
Sikkim Manipal University’s Directorate of Distance Education (SMU-DDE) has launched Vidyadeep, a nationwide scholarship programme for 1,500 students of SMU-DE programmes across India. Out of the 1500 scholarships, 500 will be offered to students from the North East alone. The scholarship is a 100 per cent tuition fee waiver for students currently in first to fifth semesters for streams such as IT, Management, Journalism & Mass Communication, Fashion, Hospitality & Tourism, Allied Health, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.  Those with a low family income, an average of 45 per cent qualifying marks and above are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Soft skills workshop
Jyoti Nivas College, Bangalore is organising a national skill Facilitating Workshop from December 26, 2009 to January 2, 2010.

IIM-C course for CA/ICWA professionals
IIM Calcutta has announced the launch of the second batch of General Management Programme For Accounting Professionals (GMPAP), in association with HughesNet Global Education. The 18-month course, which starts in April 2010, aims at developing competencies and skills essential for chartered accountants, cost accountants and company secretaries. The sessions will be delivered through the HughesNet Global Education interactive learning platform.
         The system incorporates satellite classes, two-way audio and data interactivity to establish a one-to-one connection between the student and the faculty.
