Challenges like-regular supply of drinking water to all villages, sanitation, rooting out corruption in various departments, various problems which come under the jurisdiction of gram panchayats, hostel facilities and others.

Merit students who deserve scholarships have not received them it is being delayed due to no reason, allege the irked students of students community.

Many hostels lack proper basic facilities including KGF Girls’ Hostel, Somanathapura, Boys’ hostel at Bethamangala and others. They are facing various problems such as improper maintenance of toilets and others.

Even the admissions to such hostels have been decreasing due to such reasons.

The tankers which supply drinking water to villages lack cleanliness. The watermen who supply water are not paid. Many of the villages lack streetlights. Corruption is rampant in many gram panchayats.

The parents are worried about the increasing demand of donations in private schools which they allege are indirectly supported by the education department. Else why do not the officials of education department take such schools to task? they question.

Many leaders of various associations are of the opinion that the newly elected president and vice president of the taluk panchayat should call for a meeting with the taluk-level officials and chalk out plans and strategies to deal with the problems and find solutions to them.
