A 15-year-old girl in Barmer district of Rajasthan has been gang-raped several times on the direction of her aunt. A case has been registered against the aunt and three other persons in women police station of Barmer district, police said on Wednesday.

Police said the minor was raped repeatedly for three months at various locations. All the three accused were known to the victim’s aunt. Police have registered an FIR under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

Case registered
“We have registered a case of gang-rape against Ramesh, Narsinharam and Ratnaram and the woman, Andu Devi. The woman is a close relative of the victim. Initial investigations revealed that Andu Devi wanted to push the minor into prostitution,” said a police officer of Barmer range.

Police informed that Andu has a dispute with the victim’s family over their ancestral property.

As she wanted to seek revenge, Andu convinced the three men to gang-rape the victim. She even assured that no police action will be taken against them.

“Being a relative, Andu was a frequent visitor to the victim’s home. She would often take her along to various places where the three accused would rape her,” said a police officer.
