Another feather in the cap

The team from Bishop Cotton Boys’ School was adjudged the ‘Best Delegation’ in the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference which was held at New Delhi. The delegation from 11th Std, consisted of Rohan Sabharwal, Aritra Chatterjee, Aditya Mohan, Anmol Mehta, Aman Bachhawat, Rohit Shylakumar and Jayaditya Vittal.

The Ivy League Model United Nations Conference began in 1973 and has held in different countries since then.

This is the second time that it was held in India and it is for the first time an Indian school has won the award.

The award was declared after four days of gruelling debate, competing with over 450 delegates and over 60 elite schools from all over the world including schools from Bahrain, UAE, UK, Israel, South Korea and Japan.

The conference was conducted and judged by the students and faculty of the University of Pennsylvania.

With this victory, Bishop Cotton Boys’ is the only Indian school to win in both, the Harvard Model United Nations India and the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference in the same year.
