Efforts are on to trace other officials who are absconding after locking the company, the police added.
Pedestrian mowed down
A pedestrian was knocked down by a speeding car when he was crossing the Hosur Road in Chikka Begur on Friday evening.
Muniyappa (50), a bus driver with SRS Travels and resident of Kamakshipalya, was on his way to visit a relative when the incident took place around 4 30 pm, the police said. Driver of the car fled after the mishap. The police have seized the vehicle. The body is kept at Victoria Hospital for post mortem.
Motorcyclist killed
A youth riding a two-wheeler died in a road accident after hitting the footpath on old Airport road, in front of Air Force Command hospital on Friday early morning. Ulsoor traffic police said, Arun (20), a resident of CKC Garden, SR Nagar was on his way home after attending a New Year party.
