Waiting for the right script

Waiting for the right script

Kannada actress Sindhu Loknath has completed a few projects. But she’s a little reluctant to sign a new script just yet. She reasons that she has been acting with only newcomers and yearns to do something more than just ordinary roles.

Sindhu Loknath has two releases in less than two weeks. While the Endhendhu Ninagaagi actress is happy about two quick releases, she wonders if people will forget the films.

In the just released ‘Love in Mandya’, Sindhu plays a village belle and is cast opposite Sathish Ninasam.

She confesses that the best part of the film is the story which is simple and yet does well to get people to think.  Acting with Sathish Ninasam, who also happens to be her good friend, is another factor that got her to sign on the dotted line.

Sindhu has been paired with actor Satish in a lot ofprojects and the two make for an excellent pair on screen. “I am comfortable working with people who I know more as friends than just co-stars. It strengthens the on-screen performance,” she reasons.
Sindhu says that it is a neat love story. “Satish had to learn how to speak the Mandya dialect and I think that was a little tough but considering his technical brilliance he managed to pull it off without a hitch,” she adds.

The film will also have the two actors dressed up in different costumes. “There are four songs in the movie and in each song we have dressed up in a different style. One of them has us decked in a retro style, featuring actors from the 70s and 80s,” she adds.

In her next project ‘Jai Bajarangi’, she essays the character of an NRI girl. “People will get to see me in a completely different look in my next project. Here, I play the character of an outspoken girl. I am getting to play contrasting characters,” she adds.

Sindhu doesn’t believe in rushing into signing one script after another but prefers to wait until something substantial comes her way.

“I’ve been in the film industry for a few years now and I think it’s high time that I act with some big names in a project that is worth my time and talent. I don’t mind waiting for the right script,” Sindhu states.
