CCB sleuths arrested five conmen cheating citizens on the pretext of converting black money into accounted money.

Jai Kumar, 44, from Tamil Nadu, Raja, 43, Puducherry, Althaf, 36, Tirupathi, Srinivas Rao, 50, Guntur and Srinivasulu, 46, Kurnool, are the arrested. They were arrested near Pavithra Hotel in Jayanagar when they came there to meet a victim, said the police.

In a complaint, Ravikiran told the police that the five men met him and claimed that they would convert black money into accounted money. They said they had hidden huge sums of black money in the name of many trusts and wanted to invest in other smaller trusts/businesses to convert it to white money. They justified their claims by showing duplicate documents.

Ravikiran was asked to meet them at Pavithra Hotel with the money for commission on Thursday, said the police.
