The suspects — Usman, 30, a resident of JJ Nagar, Afroze Pasha, 35, and Saif Ali, 30, both from Nayandahalli — were arrested after the police received a tip-off. Police claimed that the suspects had confessed to murdering the victim, Mudassir. Usman had some scores to settle with Mudassir. He plotted the murder and roped in Pasha and Ali to execute it.

On Monday night, Usman asked Mudassir to meet him at a burial ground near Goripalya to discuss some financial matters. When the victim reached the place, they threw chilli powder at his face before stabbing him to death, the police added.
