BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi continued her padyatra in her Krishna Nagar constituency on Friday as the saffron party planned her rallies in all the 70 seats in the coming days. The party manifesto is likely to be released in the two-three days.

Bedi talked about ensuring women security, slashing power bills by half and plans to interact with radio listeners on the lines of Prime Minister Narendra Modi radio chats. She also highlighted the work done by the Modi government.

Bedi’s rallies across all 70 constituencies will include the one in Dwarka on Saturday, said a leader who attended the a meeting of the party’s election committee.

“She may hold around four to five rallies every day so that every constituency is covered,” said a senior BJP leader.

The 21-member election committee meeting, headed by senior BJP leader Nirmala Sitharaman, discussed the party’s campaign strategy for the February 7 polls.

“The party’s manifesto is likely to feature water and electricity issues and is likely to be released by a committee headed by Union minister Harsh Vardhan around January 27,” said a leader.

Earlier, Bedi met former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former deputy prime minister L K Advani and Union minister Sushma Swaraj.

The BJP  national chief Amit Shah has himself taken to holding meetings of booth-level workers ahead of the February 7 elections in which the BJP is desperate to come back to power after 16 years.

Shah has repeatedly said the party would win a comfortable majority by beating its main rival AAP.
