Lokesh wins 126-km silver

 Karnataka’s Lokesh N won the silver in the men’s 126 km mass start event in the National Games cycling competition.

Lokesh finished the race in 3:22:04.512 to come behind Haryana’s Pankaj Kumar who timed 3:22:04.47. The bronze went to Abhinandan Bhosale of Maharashtra in 3:22:04.797.

In the women’s 28 km individual time trial, Maharashtra’s Rutuja Satpute claimed the gold in 46:49.145. Krishnendu Krishna of Kerala won the silver in 48:07.961, ahead of her state-mate Mahitha Mohan (48:20.357).

Meanwhile, Rajat Chauhan stole the thunder from Abhishek Verma by bagging two gold besides a silver as India’s Asian Games gold-medal winning members of the men’s compound archery team squared off for two different outfits.
