JD(S) flays BJP

 
Speaking to press persons on Sunday, he asked whether recommending for the reinstating of a tainted official by the four BJP MLAs is ‘development’? Whether encroachment of government land by BJP party workers is ‘development’? he asked.  “If a poor man fells one tree, then he has to pay a fine of Rs 5,000. However, a BJP worker had felled 100 trees in his land. But, he was asked to pay a fine for 15 trees. When JD(S) demanded probe into misappropriation in drinking water project, MLA called us anti0development. Later, the MLA himself has written that there was corruption in Town Panchayat,” he added.

“Several poor people had applied under form number 50 and 53. However, only BJP party workers applications have been disposed. In fact, Lokayukta has submitted an affidavit which states that lot of corrections have been done in Form Number 53 by the Tahsildar,” he added.

The MLAs statement that JD(S) is indulging in politics with regard to the widening of road is not correct. Road must be widened where the traffic is more. However, we are opposed to road widening in those places where JD(S) party workers reside.   “Whether the BJP government and its MLA could find any solution to Yellow leaf disease, solve confusion over BPL card distribution,” he asked.
