<p>Twenty-eight student teams from law colleges across the country are set to participate in the University Law College’s Moot Court competition that began in the City on Friday. This is the 19th year that the University Law College is conducting the event. <br /><br /></p>.<p>According to University Law College Principal Suresh Nadagoudar, as many as 56 teams had applied for the competition. Of these, only 28 teams have been selected based on a written brief that the students were asked to send for the selection process. Nadagoudar said the written briefs were evaluated by an expert committee.<br /><br />The number of teams participating from Karnataka this year are four. These include students from JSS Law College, CMR Law College, MS Ramaiah College and Christ University. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law School, Symbiosis College, Pune, Kerala Law Academy among the other colleges from across the country that will participate in the event. <br /><br />This year's theme is Indian black money stashed away in foreign countries. The preliminary round of the event will be held on Saturday. The semi finals will be conducted on Sunday morning while the finals of the event will be conducted by 3 pm on Sunday, the principal added. Prizes will be given for Winners, Runners up, Best Memorial , Best Advocate and Best Lady Advocate categories. <br /><br />Two judges from Karnataka High Court, Justice K L Manjunath and Justice Ram Mohan Reddy and Justice Huluvadi G Ramesh of Allahabad High Court will judge the competition. Each team has three members- two mooters and one researcher.</p>
