A Some of the most common causes of dry, brittle hair are lack of appropriate conditioner and indiscriminate use of styling tools, such as curling irons and straighteners. Brittle hair can be improved by avoiding the use of shampoos that contain alkaline or alcohol. Regular trimming is the best way to get rid of split ends. Never comb your hair when it’s wet. This causes tremendous breakage and split ends. Instead, comb through your hair with your fingers and once your hair is completely dry, you can use a comb or brush to style. Many times dry hair indicates a poor diet or even mild dehydration. Always drink plenty of water. Eat a balanced diet of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Vitamins A, C, E, and calcium are all good for treating dry hair.

It is perfectly normal to lose some strands of hair every day. Losing 40-50 strands a day is normal. Exercise is also a good way of reducing hair fall. It improves blood circulation, hence the follicles receive a healthy supply of blood from the vessels around them. Avoid pulling back your hair in a tight pony tail every day.
