Jayamma and Gangamma of Jinnagara village in the Amruthur police station limits had fought in December, last year. Jayamma lodged a complaint. The ASI Veerakyathaiah threatened Jayamma that a case will be registered against her, as Gangamma had registered a counter complaint. He assured Jayamma that the case will not be registered is she gave him Rs 5,000. However, Jayamma approached the Lokayukta. The ASI was caught by the Lokayukta while receiving Rs 3,000 from Jayamma at the station.
