Guv tells Bearys to reform education

The Governor also presented a “life-time achievement honour” to former minister B A Mohideen at the function organised by the Beary Welfare Association.

Bhardwaj told the Beary community to climb the social ladder through reforms in education. He said it is the duty of all citizens to commit themselves to safeguard the multi-cultural identity of the country. Citizens should also take forward the ideals of peace and harmony imbibed by Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Maulana Azad, he said.

Former Union Minister Oscar Fernandes and Bangalore North MP D B Chandre Gowda urged the youth of the community to pursue technical and vocational education.
