Garbage dumped in drain

At the right side of my house, No.9, Heerachand Road, Cox Town (opposite Adonai Church), there exists a drain which has been turned into a garbage dump with stone slabs spread in the middle. This blocks the smooth water flow during rainy season. In addition, the entire road has not been asphalted for years together.

A very immediate action is requested. Also I request the new Commissioner to visit this area and take remedial action.

Construct speed breaker

A speed breaker needs to be constructed near Matha Amritanandamayi Arch on Kengeri Ring Road. The vehicles which have to take a right turn here to enter Jnanabharathi
Layout, have a rough time negotiating the heavy rush of vehicles. In the interest of general public, I request the concerned authorities to kindly look into the matter
seriously and save lives before any mishaps could happen.

Glitches in online complaint system

Recently, I wanted to make a complaint to the BWSSB about a leaking water pipe. I tried to register the complaint online. When I opened the complaint website, I found that my RR number is mandatory for registering a complaint.

This is ridiculous. If I find a leaking water or sewage pipe on my way to office and want to make a complaint, still I have to key in my RR number. What is the logic for it ? Also, the confirmation after receiving the complaint is not sent immediately. The feeding in of RR Number should be optional and immediately after the complaint is submitted, a confirmation should come to the person immediately.

Footpath in Cottonpet encroached upon

The shops located opposite the Cottonpet police station on the Cottonpet Main Road, have encroached the complete stretch of footpath -for a length of about 35 feet. These shops have constructed permanent pillars and shelters on the footpath.
This has created a lot of problems for the pedestrians to walk on the footpath, and also for the vehicular movement on the road.

If the encroachment is not cleared at the earliest, these shops may occupy the entire length of the footpath. The authorities concerned are requested to clear the
encroachments on the footpath.

Clean stormwater drains

Stormwater drains in Pai Layout (Ward 56), Mahadevapura Zone have not been cleaned for many years. There are many encroachments like a Hopcoms outlet and an Anganwadi that are built atop the drain. Repeated reminders to the concerned officials have not yielded any results. Will the concerned officials look into the issue at the earliest?

Shift post office from Isec campus

Nagarbhavi post office [560072] is currently situated on the Isec Campus. The services offered are no doubt helpful even to far flung locations near Nagarbhavi BDA Complex. However, it is an irony that a post office being a public utility, is located within a campus.
Many people find it difficult to travel to this remote campus to avail the services. It also causes inconvenience to avail certain services which are time-bound.

Hence it is hereby suggested that the post office be shifted to a convenient location so that the facility could be accessed easily by the general public. The area around the existing post office has developed very fast and relocation to a convenient public utility building such as BDA Complex will prove beneficial for the postal department and general public at large.

Provide BSNL services

The BSNL has not been providing telephone connections to Kumar Castles and Palm grove enclave complex on Gubbalala Main Road. It has not taken any action despite our several appeals. BSNL is a huge establishment and they should cater the needs of the people living in Gubbalala area. Hope the authorities concerned will address this issue as early as possible.

Old tree needs trimming

A tree on 3rd Cross, 2nd Stage, RK Layout, Padmanabhanagar is quite old and may fall endangering the public as well as the houses surrounding it.

It needs to be trimmed immediately. Day in and day out we come across instances of falling trees in the City due to the rains. People residing close to this tree spend sleepless nights. Repeated pleas with the concerned authorities has had no effect so far.

Will the concerned authorities wake up and do the needful before any untoward incident takes place?

Sewage flows on the road

On May 1, the residents of Standage Road, Fraser Town were confined to their houses the whole day with stink emanating from the sewage that flowed right in front of their houses. Our frantic calls to various authorities were in vain. The sewage heavy with human waste and slush was unbearable, sickening and a health hazard.

This is happening regularly for the last 3 to 4 years. We have sounded all and sundry in charge of this, but to no good avail. Even the BWSSB Chairman was alerted on a couple of occasions and he helped settle the matter twice with an ‘Okay’ message. The problem, however, is recurring.

The authorities concerned who appear casual and insensitive, send men and a vehicle, but are never to be seen on the spot to settle it once and for all. Instead they blame the huge hotels/restaurants that have come up on Mosque Road.
They then blame the BBMP to be the culprit behind the unruly, unlawful and illegal constructions in the locality.

Who is to bell the cat, is the question or are we all to suffer like this?

Stray dog menace

There is a group of stray dogs in our area (3rd Main, 1st Cross, KR Puram) that has become a nuisance for us everyday, especially in the night. As the stray dogs bark in the middle of the night we are unable to sleep peacefully. It is also difficult for office goers, especially for those who return late from work. I request the concerned department to take action in this regard.

Road in horrible condition

I am a resident of Prestige Wellington Park, Jalahalli. The condition of the IAF Main Road at Ramachandrapura Cross which has been abysmal for the last year has now deteriorated further. The potholes have turned into craters making the stretch extremely precarious for vehicles especially two wheelers. Vehicles literally have to sink inside.

This slows them down which causes a long line up of vehicles. With the rain every now and then, the ride is nightmarish for road users. I plead the authorities to not neglect this problem any longer and ensure that the residents of the area have a smooth ride.

Passbook entry a hassle

The account holders at the Doorvani Nagar Post Office are fed up with getting their passbook entries updated. I humbly request the officials concerned to look into the matter and help the public avoid overcrowding at the service counter.
