Prime accused in Kollegal murders arrested

The police have arrested Murugesh, the prime accused in the murder of five people at Harale village in the taluk on Monday night.

Murugesh was arrested from Hanur in the district and it is said that he has confessed to the crime. The police had formed five teams to nab the culprits. Efforts are on to trace Muruugesh’s accomplice in the murder. The murder, suspected to be by miscreants from Tamil Nadu, has left people in the village a terrified lot. The residents are now scared to walk on the road where the murder took place (near the tomb of saint Haralaiah) after sunset.
