<p>The Lokayukta (rural) police have arrested a tahsildar, a second division assistant and another person for demanding and accepting bribe. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The accused are Kotresh H, tahsildar, Nagaraju K, SDA, both from Hoskote taluk and Muniyappa who accepted the bribe on behalf of the government servants. <br /><br />H Madhu from Bagalur had filed an application at the Hoskote tahsildar’s office for conversion of his land measuring 6.34 acres at Bagalur. Kotresh and Nagaraju demanded a bribe of Rs 2.24 lakh for the work. A case was registered and a trap was laid. <br /><br />The Lokayukta police caught Muniyappa red-handed accepting Rs 2.24 lakh. The tahsildar tried to escape, but when Lokayukta police chased him down. The trio will be produced before the magistrate.</p>
